                Nowadays, the world's film industry is becoming more and more popular because of movies that tend to show 3-Dimensional Effects, state-of-the-art film settings and bankable actors with a very huge fan population. It's a good thing because today, even the children like to watch movie as a way of spending quality time with their families and friends. People like movies like they like their clothes, their pets, their gadgets. I mean, without movies, our everyday lives will just be a unilateral journey of fighting boredom and facing reality. Sometimes, we should not deprive ourselves of having the pleasure to enjoy little things like a good movie. 

               So, to make our topic rolling, here are 5 movies that will make you realize what a good movie is therefore making you like movies more...



1.  City of Angels (USA)
Starring: Nicholas Cage, Meg Ryan
Genre: Fantasy, Drama
Synopsis:

Do you believe in angels? How about in love at first sight? This movie will definitely make your romantic fantasies come true. It revolves around an angel named Seth who, upon setting eyes for the first time on the surgeon named Maggie, he fell deeply in love with her up to the point of giving up his immortality just to be with this girl and experience what it feels to be human. As he gets excited with his new found love and humanity, a sudden turn of events will prove how strong he is as a man (angel?).


**Adding to the very eloquent story line of the movie and the superb acting of the actors is the movie’s equally expressive sound track : Iris by Goo Goo Dolls. If you’re in love with this song, better check out this movie too. You won’t get disappointed. I promise.


2.  Hello Ghost (South Korea)
              Starring: Cha Tae Hyun
              Genre: Comedy, Drama
              Synopsis:

 When you have a bitter past, you do everything to forget it but what if you haven’t really forgotten everything and after so many years, it all came back to haunt you? Korean superstar Cha Tae Hyun once again has proven that he is one of the country’s leading actors with this family drama/comedy that tells about the story of a suicidal orphan (played by Hyun) who, after a series of failed suicides, discovered that he is now able to see ghosts. In fact, they won’t stay away from him. They even insisted to live on his apartment with the agreement that they will only get out of his life if he would grant their every wish. With a touch of humor that will make you laugh and a blend of drama that will make you cry, this movie will definitely melt your heart.

3.   Amelie (France)
     Starring: Audrey Tautou
     Genre: Romantic Comedy
     Synopsis:

This critically-acclaimed film is the highest-grossing French-language film released in the United States. Audrey Tautou stars as Amelie, an eccentric and naïve girl who has a very good heart. The film is mainly about the hilarious stories from her childhood up to the present time where she has grown up but her peculiarity remains the same. We’ll follow how her purposeless life changed  when she discovered that what she really wants in life is to bring happiness and help others as much as she can. As she devotes her life to others, will she become genuinely happy? Watch the rest of the film to know the answer.

5.   Still Life (Philippines)
Starring: Glaiza De Castro, Ron Capinding

Devastated by the painful news, he goes on a self-imposed exile to paint his last masterpiece before he gets suicide.
